20 fuckin years ago this was released. This album definitely changed my music listening. granted, i still listened to some shitty music in junior/senior high but the first time i heard appetite (december of 1987) i went nuts. i got the tape for christmas from a cousin (along w/ some def leppard tape). i popped the GnR into the walkman & my mind was blown. i remember opening the fold of the cover up & seeing that disturbing pic of the robot & woman. i also distinctly remember my parents hearing this & the crue's 'shout at the devil' & saying: 'don't ever let us hear that again'. to this day, i think appetite is the greatest debut album by any band. it still possesses the raw energy, power it did back then.  son of a bitch i'm old.
